Can anybody recall a remake that was better then the original? I liked NOTLD remake better then the original, but is there any others?

The original Night of the Living Dead is a fucking classic and the original is much different and not directed by George Romero so... I just cant compare the two against each other

I dont know why everybody thought that it sucked. I thought the remake Dawn of the Dead was pretty good. Not nearly as good as the original of course.

I agree with VanChris on this one. The Dawn of the Dead remake shouldn't even be called a remake. The only simmilarity from this one and the original, and I do mean the ONLY simmilarity is that they hide in a shopping mall and its the same title. Theres nothing else. Plus the zombies running was just the stupidest thing ever. The little girl dies and suddenly shes a running kung fu demom?! George A. Romero said in an interview with Aint It Cool News "The Dawn of the Dead remake was a big mistake, the whole running zombies stuff just drove me crazy." I completely hated the movie mainly because its not a remake, its more a copy. It's all completely different characters, none of the same scenes at all. This was just shit, pardon my french.
The Night of the Living Dead remake was written by George Romero, so its a George Romero movie, just he didn't direct it. Tom Savani, a good friend of Romero's directed it [Zombie Make-Up God]. But Dawn of the Dead remake is like a parody of a George Romero movie.
